So, as the owner and creator of my own website, I am able to see what people search and are drawn to on my website. A lot of people visit my website from search engines where they type in "how many packs/bundles of hair is needed for a full sew-in?" "how many bundles do I need for a sew-in?"
And here is your answer ladies!
A lot of people have different definitions of a "full sew-in".
But for the most part, with a full sew-in If you are using any hair that is larger than 18", I recommend you use 3 BUNDLES or more (depending on the fullness you are trying to achieve)
For a partial sew-in; depending on how much you leave out on the top, and around the perimeter, as well as the size of your head (lol) 2 BUNDLES will work.
I myself have a nice size head (lol) and I use 2 bundles, I leave about 2 inches of my hair out in the back, 1-1 1/2 out around my edges, and 4 fingers width out at the top which makes my sew-ins look natural and just like my hair.
REMEMBER THAT THE WAY YOU PLACE YOUR TRACKS AND HOW CLOSE/FAR APART THEY ARE PLAYS A HUGE PART IN HOW MANY BUNDLES YOU WILL NEED. If you only want to use 2 bundles, I recommend spacing the first bundle at the bottom out 1 - 1 1/2 inches apart, as you get to the middle get closer and as you work your way to the top get even closure. But once you get close to finishing, do NOT stack and pile too many tracks on top of one another or it wil make your sew-in look bumpy!
Ounce wise 6oz-8oz = good for a partial
9 oz + = good for a full
